Over the years I have observed and read a lot of challenges faced by the local government and the local communities. The relationship between the local government leadership and the communities has consistently been sour.This book is closing the gap between the local government and community perspectives. The book consists of six chapters that focused on different critical topics that spark a discussion within the communities and among government stakeholders. As the author of this book and written extensively on issue of local government, it was necessary for me to write this book. In the past I have written on issues of leadership ethics and leadership characteristics in the local government and some of the points made derive from this experience.
