This book aims to concentrate on key aspects during Chinese inclusive green growth over the decade—economy, environment, higher education, and the related impact of COVID-19 on education. It can be served as a lens through which one can better understand the footprints of Chinese development over the previous 13 years before 2022. Despite the great accomplishments in China’s economic growth, environmental protection, as well as the effective control of COVID-19 which is the corollary of its zero-COVID policy, there are still some problems during the process, say, some environmental policy effect is lower than expected, especially the ban of plastic bags, which is not without the cost of environmental quality; besides, the aging population coupled with the low birthrate also become the general concerns among current Chinese society. In this sense, the book is entitled inclusive growth. China has been endeavoring to build a resource-receiving and environment-friendly society ever since its 11th Five-Year Plan (2006-2010). So far, this is probably the first book to study inclusive growth using empirical research as well as cross-cutting approach.
