The combination of art and play is the most effective in cognitive, emotional and social learning. Working around different ways of expression in art, this study manages to form a holistic field of development, preparing young children for their adolescent and adult lives. Through individual works and methods, like the ‘Teddy bear project’, the ‘Narrative collection’, the ‘Photo story method’ and ‘Hut in the school forest’, will reveal the importance of transitional object in school, the hidden power of objects in children’s lives, the importance of aesthetic narration, the childhood reality and finally the need for playing in the natural environment. Children can play and learn, under any conditions and by all means. I hope this book will help art educators to leave the curriculum for a while and pursue play as a core teaching method.
