One of the competencies required of teachers or instructors in ensuring effective teaching and learning is the process of teaching (method) which consists of a group of skills for organising content of a lesson and for attaining instructional objectives. Some instructors normally employ traditional techniques or methods in teaching geography due to their inadequate knowledge and skills in adopting inquiry-based method like problem-based learning (PBL). This book discusses the use of Problem-based learning (PBL) method in geography education from the perspectives of students and instructors. Its discusses the theory underpinning PBL approach, processes and benefits for adopting PBL in geography instructional activities. Likewise, the factors that affect it effective implementation and recommendation to ensure effective use of PBL in geography education. it is my hope that this book will be useful tool to help instructors to develop understanding and prepared to adopting PLB approach in teaching and learning geography to meets the needs and interest of their learners.
