The purpose of the publication is to present a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities related to the digital transformation in education and to offer practical guidance for universities that want to carry out a successful adaptation to the new standards. Through this research, we aim to assist academic institutions in their transformation and support the development of innovative educational practices.
Contemporary challenges and opportunities in the context of the digital transformation of education are discussed. On the one hand, a comprehensive model of the university of the future is provided, which encompasses flexible curricula, distance and hybrid learning, collaborative learning and ethically sustainable education. On the other hand, the main aspects of academic interactions between teachers and students are analyzed, including the new teaching methods that are in line with the digital transformation.
