Description

Malnutrition is nutritional disorders in all their forms, including imbalances in energy, specific macronutrients and micronutrients, and dietary patterns. Due to some recurrent factors in developing countries the number of malnutrition remain a public health issue. Many factors can cause malnutrition, most of which relate to poor diet or severe and repeated infections, particularly in underprivileged populations. Inadequate diet and disease, in turn, are closely linked to the general standard of living, the environmental conditions, and whether a population can meet its basic needs such as food, housing and health care. Malnutrition is still a huge public health problem in developing countries and especially in DRC, and its number increase with the frequency of associated factors recognized. To decrease malnutrition among under-five children we strongly suggest that the governments and their partners should start tackling factors leading to malnutrition instead of waiting to deal with their consequences. People should be aware and educated on proper nutrition in the household level and on the value of vaccination of their children against measles.
