This book is addressed to all those who are committed to lasting peace and reconciliation for the people of the Great Lakes region, which has been in a state of critical crisis for many years as a result of the region’s internal conflicts. Many years ago (since the 1878s), Africa in general and the Great Lakes region in particular were introduced to Christianity, a religion that believes in Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world and the second person of the Holy Trinity. The Good News from Alexandria and east to Ethiopia through North Africa became a dominant religion in this eastern part of Africa. The fame of this religion resulted in a huge numerical growth of Christianity in this region, up to the level where from the 20th century, the Great Lakes region was almost a Christian-dominated region. At present, statistics of Christians at the national level show that 92% of Burundians, 92% of Congolese (DRC) and 93.6% of Rwandans are estimated to be Christians.
