Mathematics is the foundation of everything in our world, intricately woven into the fabric of our daily lives. It plays a vital role in a wide range of professions, including chefs, farmers, carpenters, mechanics, shopkeepers, doctors, scientists, and engineers, highlighting the universal reliance on mathematical principles. The importance of mathematics goes beyond human endeavors, as it is also used in nature; snails, spiders, and bees instinctively use mathematical concepts to construct their shells, webs, and hives, respectively. As a mathematics teacher, I have frequently encountered students who have an almost inexplicable aversion to the subject. Despite my efforts to uncover the root of their resistance, a definitive cause remains elusive. This enigma has led me to investigate the attitudes of students towards mathematics more deeply. This book delves into the experiences of intermediate-level students, particularly those aged between 13 and 16, a critical phase in their educational development, where attitudes and perspectives towards subjects like mathematics begin to cement.
