These chapters include: The chapter on background information explains to the reader the importance of learning Mathematics to learners with visual impairments, importance of using instructional strategies and the background history of education for learners with visual impairments. The chapter helps the reader to understand the Mathematics performance trend for learners with visual impairments as compared with other examinable subjects. The chapter on literature review highlights on the behavioral characteristics of person with visual impairments, characteristics of teaching strategies and difference between teaching methods and teaching strategies. The chapter also discuss on various studies done by other researchers related to instructional strategies and teaching methods used in general teaching.
