The monograph Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Service Sector in the Conditions of Industry 4.0 and Society 4.0 presents the current state of knowledge in the field of adaptation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the service sector to the conditions of Society 4.0 with a specific focus on knowledge-intensive service sectors. The publication aims to contribute to understanding the system of methods and tools of Industry 4.0 and their practical, efficient and timely use in business practice.
Based on the evaluation of principles, procedures, methods and tools for the transformation of the service sector to the technical, economic, social and environmental conditions of Society 4.0, further based on the evaluation of changes in knowledge and skill requirements for employee positions in connection with the advent of Society 4.0 and the conducted field research, a methodology for the adaptation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the service sector to the conditions of Society 4.0 was designed and validated.
