Description

This book, Succession Law and Probate Practice, is an effort to provide a comprehensive and reliable reference material in the study of succession law in the Anglophone Regions of Cameroon. The book, apart from covering the principles of succession law, deals with other recent developments in probate practice. For example, the chapter on ‘conflict on the applicable law in probate matters’ is based jointly on the views of erudite scholars and jurist on the application of Section 15 of the Southern Cameroons High Court Law 1955 which emphasizes the application of English laws in Cameroon. The book is no doubt a product of painstaking research carried out on extensive scale by someone who not only commands a firm grip of succession law but also teaches the subject at the University level for a period of over seven years. It is written in simple and plain English Language characteristic of teachers and hopefully it will serve as a great companion to both students and practitioners in their research and practice.
