This book offers a novel perspective on serial murder through the lens of the ‘entangled social domains theory’. Emphasizing the importance of causal analysis often overlooked in contemporary viewpoints, I draw from my background in sociology to highlight how existing frameworks fall short in explaining phenomena like serial murder. Unlike traditional sociological assumptions, my theory integrates the role of individual creativity alongside social factors. By examining case studies of serial murderers, I demonstrate how entangled social domains contribute to these extreme behaviors. Specifically, I explore the significance of ‘benign power and control’ and ‘benign efficacy’ as unique psychological traits of serial killers, which, in tandem with other motivations, lead to multifaceted explanations rather than simplistic single-cause theories.
