Sharing Fortunes

Description

The author of the book “Senegambia, Unity is our salvation” has yet again penned this book of much relevance in today’s development trajectory of nations. This book is appropriately titled: “Spreading Our Fortunes” to depict the direction of Gambia’s development as it began since colonial times and how the colonial master’s socio-economic development has set the tone for Gambia from post-colonial to the present. This book uncovers the realities of the cause and effect of the human development model and why a paradigm shift is a requisite for pivoting our development model to align with twenty-first-century requirements in moving our country forward for preferred outcomes and the greater good of the youth population of our country. Gambia’s youth population has resorted to desperate migration otherwise called “Backway” because of few opportunities or lack thereof in the Gambia. Thus, we seek to discover how to remedy the backway syndrome of devastation to our country by spreading our national fortunes of development resources.
