The monograph is intended for training and control of knowledge of theoretical and practical phonetics of the English language. This manual provides students with the maximum assimilation of theoretical and practical material by purposefully consolidating and improving language skills of aural language perception and serves the task of preparing students to bring the specified skills into an unprepared language and automatically correctly form their statements from the phonetic point of view. The method of presenting the material, the proposed exercises from letters, sounds to utterances and texts meet the requirements stipulated by the foreign language study program at the Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate levels. The manual also provides individual educational and research and practical tasks aimed at forming students’ phonetic skills to model and reproduce various communicative situations.
