Description
“Learning through Research in the New Ukrainian School” is the first methodological manual for educators who work in general secondary education institutions and would like to improve their scientific and natural competence.
The first part of the book characterizes the physical methods of research, which are revealed through the prism of astronomical and meteorological observations. This is the study of common and distinctive features of processes or phenomena that we can study at school. Where at the first stages we learn to observe, describe, experiment, measure and model. The second part offers methodological recommendations for the organization of hydrological and hydrochemical research. These studies consolidate the skills and abilities of students, where we learn to plan research purposefully, demonstrate chemical experiments, perform laboratory and practical work independently and with the help of a teacher, use instruments, and introduce computer modeling. The third part substantiates biological and environmental research methods, and the fourth – the methodology for organizing and conducting geological and cartographic research.
