As the global economy grows on a daily basis, energy requirements and utilization have tremendously increased particularly in developed and some developing countries like Nigeria. The world is currently being challenged by huge energy shortage and unstable price of fossil fuels at the international market. A potential solution to the rapid energy demand is the use of lignocellulosic materials such as wood sawdust as renewable source of energy.
