Description

Malawi has taken a new inspiring path in development; having recently established its long term vision Malawi 2063 which envisages an inclusively wealthy and self-reliant nation. Among key thrust is in making Malawi Development Policy more focused on Agriculture Transformation for Wealth Creation. This paper assesses the linkages between inclusive agriculture commercialisation and value chain performance, and the impact on wealth creation. Using conceptual research methodology informed by experiences of an entity as a research object, the study found that there is a linear relationship between inclusive agriculture commercialisation, and value chain performance and wealth creation. The more inclusive the value chains, the more the wealth creation will be generated by the actors.
