RESEARCH ON CHINA – RUSSIA’S HEALTH DIPLOMACY – STAKEHOLDER THEORY ANALYSIS

Global health governance has become a hot issue in the international community. In the 21st century, health diplomacy has gradually attracted worldwide attention since the Carter administration of the United States put forward this concept in 1972. As China’s important regional powers in the world, China and Russia have adopted health diplomacy. Effectively enhance the influence in global health governance, this article systematically sorts out the health diplomacy of China and Russia, and summarizes China’s participation in global health governance. The health diplomacy between China and Russia has its own characteristics and has made distinctive contributions to global health governance. Through its unique advantages in foreign aid medical teams and traditional medicine, China has actively participated in medical cooperation with third world countries in global health governance, and has successfully blocked the spread of COVID-19 in the country through cooperation with the World Health Organization. As a world power, Russia has a long history of health assistance and rich experience. At the same time, Russia has advanced medical technology and diplomatic concepts. Since President Putin took office, Russia’s economy has developed rapidly and politically stable. This study is based on stakeholder theory, comprehensively using comparative analysis, case analysis and other research methods to analyze and compare the similarities and differences between China and Russia’s health diplomacy, summarize their strengths and weaknesses, and provide references for China’s health diplomacy.
