Description

While this book is no different from other works in the same field, it consists of an indispensable contribution drawn from an empirical research, which means that the book is entirely academic in nature. In a broad sense, the work attempts to establish the factors that hinder the development of youth entrepreneurship with a particular focus on Rwanda where original research has been conducted to examine the relationship between the factors. The five main factors have been extensively analyzed:
[1] access to credit,
[2] market access,
[3] entrepreneurship training,
[4] business development services and
[5] socio-economic factors.
While all of this contributes to the development of youth entrepreneurship, the author has nevertheless taken into account some moderating factors such as government policies and regulations as well as entrepreneurial traits and attitude, to recommend relevant friendly policies and practices.
