Computer Languages and Digitalization

Description

This book is monographic in nature and refers to the impact of computer languages ​​on digitalization. Digitalization is closely related to the development of computing, and especially to the development of computer languages. In the beginning, the advancement of digitalization is connected with the development of programming languages. However, not all programming languages ​​contribute equally to digitalization. The book includes a classification of programming languages ​​and the impact of some of them (or entire classes) on the digitalization. Markup languages ​​are particularly important for digitization (and therefore for digitalization). Their impact on digitization was analyzed. Special attention was paid to the XML language, as well as its applications. Three XML-applications (languages): SVG, SMIL and MathML are discussed in more detail.
