Description

In this manuscript, we proposed a number of video management for large-scale video surveillance systems, that are based on edge computing and cloud computing. The micro services-Based architecture aims at not only effectively using the large-scale video data to detect failures that are distributed among edge cameras, end-users, the fog, and the network but also managing large-scale video surveillance systems.
Some preprocessing, or even processing of video streams for object detection, face detection, and any other types of detection applications are directly handled by the edge devices rather than being uploaded to the fog or the cloud. Thus, the bandwidth of the network will not be wasted, and storage savings will be realized in the cloud.
Moreover, the Edge computing can be thought of as a complement to cloud computing by offloading some of the ordinary computing operations near the network’s edge.
