Description

This research study determined the level of acceptability of ESA-EAP model as used in the teaching of Purposive Communication that is perceived by both student and teacher respondents in Cebu Technological University-Tuburan. This also determined the students’ academic performance in the selected competencies in Purposive Communication in order to observe if it’s a factor towards the model’s level of acceptability. Problems that were encountered by both respondent groups were also identified. To obtain the data needed for these objectives, descriptive-correlational method of research was employed. Specifically, adapted questionnaire from Technology Acceptance Model was utilized to determine the level of acceptability of ESA-EAP. Students’ performance was measured through selected activities. Weighted mean was used to determine students’ performance and ESA-EAP’s acceptability. T- Test was the statistical treatment used to determine the significant mean difference between Teacher’s and Students’ perception on the ESA-EAP’s acceptability.
