This book examines the accessibility and sustainability of prison education, emphasizing supervisory support in remote e-learning and the experiences of detained students in a Namibian prison. Education for incarcerated individuals is increasingly recognized as a fundamental human right and an effective strategy for reducing recidivism, enhancing rehabilitation outcomes, and promoting successful reintegration into society. Nonetheless, systemic barriers, including inadequate digital infrastructure, insufficient educational facilities, and inconsistent institutional support, continue to impede equitable access to education in prisons. The supervision of incarcerated students engaged in distance e-learning is essential for promoting academic achievement and long-term sustainability. Supervision acts as a motivational catalyst and a protective measure against the psychological isolation often linked to incarceration. Mental resilience is crucial for managing daily challenges, academic failures, and the emotional strain of isolation of student prisoners. Education was not solely an individual endeavor but a tool to positively impact society upon reintegration of released inmates.
