The study aimed to investigate the influence of group teaching approach strategies on the effectiveness of mathematics instruction in public secondary schools within Gasabo District, Rwanda. The research explored various group teaching methodologies employed by educators and their impact on students’ learning outcomes in mathematics.
The study adopted a mixed-methods research design, combining quantitative data from standardized test scores and qualitative insights from interviews and observations. Specifically, the research examined the implementation of group teaching strategies such as cooperative learning, collaborative problem-solving, and peer tutoring in mathematics classrooms.
Data were collected from a representative sample of public secondary schools, teachers, and students in Gasabo District.
