Through the interpretation of two great figures of the 20th century, Martin Heidegger and Michel Henry, this work demonstrates the major important stakes in their work, technology, and science and how they address the problems of our age. Heidegger set out to consider the condition of modern man. While thinking gives meaning to everything we build, technology, no matter how great, will never replace thinking. Michel Henry takes to task the barbarism of modern time, of a perversion of the whole of life, the essence of which is to make an effort to transform and be accomplished. A reversal of this process, barbarism, results from the blind progression of technology, generally considered positive.
