The book fills a void in the contemporaneous study of oral literature in Cameroon. It is interdisciplinary in approach and expertly analyses how oral poetry relates to Bioethics in an Era of globalization. Bulami sets out in this relevant and thought-provoking thesis to provide a panoramic view of the performances of the variegated genres of Nso Oral Poetry and its relationship with indigenous Bioethics. He reiterates the fact that oral poetry performance among the Nso is a collective experience of culture-related communal experiences that articulates loric voice. He goes further to affirm the resilience and efficacy of the traditional poetry of the Nso people as mentifacts. Above all, the researcher acknowledges the debilitating effects of urbanization, modernization and globalization on the nutritional base of African oral literature which is the traditional setting. This is an exceptionally very interesting interdisciplinary research work in which the researcher seeks to establish the symbiotic relationship between Nso’ Bioethics and Nso’ Oral Poetry, positing that the decline in the practice of one leads to the decline of the other.
