This monograph presents one of the most reliable, sensitive, and informative optical methods for the theoretical and experimental study of solar converters based on CdTe, CdTe: In and n-CdS/p-CdTe semiconductor structures.Currently, special attention is paid to the analysis of their photoluminescence spectra in the field of photonics and optoelectronics. In this, the following important tasks are set: an in-depth study of low-temperature photoluminescence spectra of CdTe crystals and prediction of properties of semiconductor structures based on them; creating a reliable optical method for monitoring and diagnosing crystalline semiconductor materials; development of effective technology for obtaining thin fine-grained films with photovoltaic properties and studying their electrical, optical and photoelectric parameters; development of an original method of low-temperature photoluminescence analysis of pure and doped thin polycrystalline films.
