This book is the result of scientific research in the Strength of Materials, over many years. Among the analytical methods for calculating the deformations of mechanical structures in bars, the energy methods are the most efficient; I am considering the Mohr-Maxwell method and the use of the Veresceaghin graph-analytical integration method.
The novelty of this book consists in presenting some calculation relations of the respective integrals, without requiring the drawing of stress diagrams, based only on the knowledge of the values of the bending moments at the ends of the integration interval.
The book contains both theoretical foundations and a series of significant applications of the energy calculation methods.
For an easy understanding, for those interested, for a comparative evaluation of the different analytical methods for calculating the deformations of bent bars, several analytical methods are presented accompanied by examples, such as the direct integration method, the conjugate (reciprocal) beam method, the Mohr-Maxwell method and the Veresceaghin integration rule and the Castigliano method.
