The opening of law course in 2013 at Pedagogical University in Maxixe, needed not only trained and experienced lecturers, but also relevant resources like books for law studies and when the human resources (lecturers) were hired, they were invited to invest effort to find resources and devise material for the course. This Legal English Handbook is the product of a year-long research project based on questionnaires for collecting different views and information from judicial officials where they could tell their day-to-day working practices and experience of communication in English language in the judicial sector around Inhambane province, in Mozambique. It consists of two parts, the Part I outlines the language competences, learning objectives, assessment procedures, skills and teaching contents of Legal English extracted from the UP law course syllabus. The classroom development of these contents may be based on some resource books referred in section seven about the thematic review of literature.
