Armours with special properties obtained by cold spraying on 52100 steel

Description

This book presents experimental achievements related to the Cold Spray deposition technique and the obtaining properties of some layers used for armour. The research carried out presents tests to determine the mechanical, microstructural, and corrosion resistance properties of the surface layers deposited cold on the base material (AISI 52100). At the same time, a current stage of the specialized literature was made, highlighting the main achievements in the field, after which valuable conclusions could be drawn that aim at new applications in which cold deposition brings significant improvements in material properties but also the possibility of reconditioning and restoring various components from most industrial fields.
